What is geography?

Geography can be defined as the study of earth's resources, land, people, places and environment. There are five themes of geography and they are as follows Movement, Location, Human Environment Interaction, Region, and Place. Houston is city that is also a big target for migration and a large part of the population involves the immigrants setting here. This can cause our population to increase even though we already have a large population. Since Houston is so industrialized it is common for us to give off a lot of combustion and contribute to global warming. This is an example of a Human Environment Interaction. These are just some things that involve the geography of Houston.

Houston's environment

Houston's environment is not good for growing crops and farming because not only is it very populated , it is one of the most densely populated cities in the United States. It is also one of the most Industrialized cities in the United States. This does not leave room for very much farmland to grow crops and raise cattle. Another problem when trying to grow crops and raise cattle in Houston is located in the Gulf Coastal Plains biome so its vegetation is caterogorized as Temperate Grasslands. Much of the city of Houston was built on Forested Land, marshes, and swamps which can be seen in relatively close areas. The major problem in Houston that prevents many people from being able to successfully accomplish "Agriculture is that the city is very flat so it floods which is a recurring problem for residents that are staying there.

How has the agricultural innovation of Houston been affected by other cultures?

What is agriculture?
Agriculture is the production, marketing, and processing of food, fibers, and byproducts from plants and animals. Human civilization rose because of agriculture, and animals and plants were raised from it. The study of agriculture is called Agricultural Science. Agriculture is not only crops and growing them even though it is a major part of it. The other major part of agriculture is the evolution of different kinds of plants. Even though Houston is not known for farming because it is such an industrialized city and doesn't have much room for farms. This doesn't mean that Houston is not cable of growing crops, because some of the main crops in Houston are as rice, berries and many fruits. There are a lot of cattle in Houston so the farming is quite typical here. We have mainly cows, and horses.
